First friday screening
TFI AND GARIFUNA INDIGENOUS FILM FESTIVAL present:
In 1990, a BBC documentary tracked the emergence of the Ancient Kogi Tribe Civilisation. They emerged to warn the modern world that if big changes were not made, the earth would suffer environmental disaster.
Aluna is a feature-length documentary made twenty-two years later. The Kogis have re-emerged from their hidden Columbian mountain home to re-instate their warning and share their secret sciences in a hope to open the eyes of the modern and flawed world.
After the screening there will be an expert panel discussion on land stewardship and preservation.
